For over 54 years, Bickerdike has been investing in its communities by creating award-winning affordable housing that has stood the test of time. Tho date we have invested more than $527 million to construct or rehabilitate 2,060 affordable and for-sale properties. Today, Bickerdike continues with its efforts to create sustainable developments that not only make efficient use of natural resources during construction but are proving to have long-term impacts on the operation of the buildings and on the environment.

Bickerdike has won recognition for its work from the entire industry ranging from the AIA’s Distinguished Building award in 1990 through to the ASHRAE Excellence in Engineering award in 2013.

Bickerdike continues to pursue new development initiatives with a mix of rental units and homeownership opportunities to meet the diverse housing needs in our community.

In the coming years, Bickerdike will:

• Continue to develop rental housing
• Complete development projects currently underway
• Explore more development of cooperatives as a means of affordable homeownership
• Continue to work in partnership with local residents and community organizations in conjunction with our development initiatives
